3 Yale students burn an American flag-someone elses. Is this what we can expect from now on in the name of tol

erance? one is a Brit with a muslim sounding name, one is a Greek, and one is a naturalized Pakistani. Is there anywhere else in the world where this is allowed to go on without serious repercussions? If you consider this action understandable and acceptable behavior, I don't believe you have any idea of prudent actions.
Answer:
My opinion is send them to jail for a while and then send them home. If they don't like the US, there is no reason for them to stay here.

To the next poster. These students are at Yale so money is no problem. And the flag was attached to a house. That is at least criminal damage. What would have said if the house burned down? It was freedom of speech! It was pure maliciousness.
I still want the name of the idiots in Portland that burned an American soldier in effigy.
Did they steal the flag, charge em.
Those muslims sure are peaceful!!!
Remember bush went to yale too so dont drop the Y-bomb as if it represents america.
I don't like that they did it, but technically its legal. First Amendment. I hope they checked to make sure the ones from Britain and Greece had their paperwork in order. If they stole the flag, they can at least be charged with that.
I don't believe american flags should be burned, but I respect another's right to burn them. If it was not their flag to burn though I believe they should be charged with destruciton of property.
yeah and what fool said Ivy league is full of smart people?
If they destroyed someone's property, they should pay for it. Maybe slap a few more city ordinance violations on them. But as for dragging them out in the street... no.
Well. Flag burning is considered freedom of speech %26 falls under the first amendment.

When burning a flag, you are protesting america. they might have done it because of the war. I personally, would never pledge to the flag, especially during a war.
It's not one nation under god.

Would you have them commit a hate crime in protest? Some kids just need a way to protest - and this is a safe way to do it.

Burning flags are perfectly legal. And I agree with this.

And even if it was someone else's property - the worst you could do was probably make them replace it. and did you know, most of the american flags are made in china?
Our flag of freemdom of prestiege made in a chianese sweatship.

if you want them out of here so bad, then go buy them a ticket to leave the country. some people don't have the means or money to get out. and for some people, living in a country where our rights are being taken away, one by one, is better then living in a warzone.

why is it any of your business what they're doing anyway?
